I don't completely agree with you.

I looked at the examples at the Medium Quality Guidelines — they seem to support my analysis. They are all very, very good, exhibiting personal experience, and so on. Few of us can write like that.

I don't completely agree with you. 5 of my boosted pieces were not soul-searching, dramatic tales. They were humor. I'm not even that funny?!
