It's actually a terrible situation for Medium as a business. As Coach Tony reported the past year is the first year Medium has been profitable, but without communicating what is going on with the payments, many FOM members are considering not resubscribing or are considering leaving the platform. If this is where a large part of their income is derived from, in order to pay us genuine writers, then all these writers leaving could see medium loose a fortune, and the platform!
