It's interesting because, from my experience, even those who are grandparents may have been thrilled to have grandchildren, but they clearly take that role for granted when they do the bare minimum in the role.

It's not that my own parents don't love my kids, but they prioritise their lives, and their grandkids are definitely the last on the list of priorities.
