It's so funny, isn't it, how we mothers and wives have to carry the mental load, and we are often more deserving of a break from the everyday, and yet we still feel the need to ask permission. I feel this way, and yet, as a valuable contributor to child raising and housekeeping, I am more than able to just take leave, but I don't.
