My god Mark, the revelation at the end of your article gave me chills. This story hit me hard. I’m Jewish and my family are very involved in our city’s Holocaust memorial center. I’ve grown up knowing many of the stories about what went on in Europe during Nazi Occupation, and no matter how many times I read or hear a survivor’s story, the magnitude of what was allowed to happen then still astounds me.
