You are absolutely correct in that my son is very intelligent and he is a deep thinker. He often surprises me with his questions that are never run-of-the-mill but are questions about something he has spent a lot of time attempting to understand. He is wise beyond his years.

It's also interesting that you saw his potential in leadership. A few weeks ago in school, he was chosen as the "social justice leader," and he was so enthusiastic about telling me how he wants to organize a school-wide pajama day where the kids could come to school in their pajamas and donate a dollar for an important cause.

You seem to be someone who understands kids like him, so i'd love to ask you if you had any recommendations of activities I could encourage him to try that may hone his leadership skills?
