The whole concept of baby showers is awful. I’m someone who refuses to celebrate a baby before they are born because I had a stillborn child. I know how much can and does go wrong and in my eyes, celebrate when the baby arrives!! This is what we did with our kids that followed, once we had the time to adjust to having a new baby we held a civilized afternoon tea where all couples, men and women were invited to celebrate. No games, no sport on tv.
