This was such a fantastic article Bette! Its made me wonder about how attachment theory can present in so many areas of our lives, not just romantically.
For example my daughter who has experienced so much bullying, I can see she craves friendships but she pushes away anyone who may offer her kindness in fear of being hurt again.
And then I see my middle daughter who my husband always says she never finishes anything she starts. She gets enthusiastic about a new thing and then looses interest part way through before deciding to give it up. I wonder if that is related too.
